Thoughts On My Heart
/l/1100/1154_s.jpg

These Are Thoughts From My Heart, I hope you enjoy them.

When I awoke from sleep this morning the word “sand” was going over and over in my Spirit. I thought this was unusual and immediately I was taken in my Spirit to the scriptures which say:

Matthew 7:24-29 KJV

24.  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25.  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26.  And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27.  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

28.  And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

29.  For he taught them as [one] having authority, and not as the scribes.

sand ( s²nd) n. 1. a. Small, loose grains of worn or disintegrated rock. b. Geology A sedimentary material, finer than a granule and coarser than silt, with grains between 0.06 and 2.0 millimeters in diameter. The American Heritage Dictionary

This definition above of the word “sand”, particularly the underlined portion really jumped out at me and reverberated in my Spirit. Sand, as it were, is only small, loose grains of worn or disintegrated rock, as the definition tells us. At this point you may be wondering exactly what, if any, is the spiritual significance of this word “sand”. In my understanding this is what has opened up to me in regard to the word “sand”.

dis·in·te·grate v. dis·in·te·grat·ed dis·in·te·grat·ing dis·in·te·grates v. intr. 1. To become reduced to components, fragments, or particles. 2. Chemistry Physics To decompose, decay, or undergo a nuclear transformation. v. tr. 1. To cause to disintegrate. See note at decay . dis·in te·grative adj. dis·in te·grator n. The American Heritage Dictionary

frag·ment n. 1. A small part broken off or detached. 2. An incomplete or isolated portion; a bit: overheard fragments of their conversation; extant fragments of an old manuscript. The American Heritage Dictionary

par·ti·cle n. Abbr. part. 1. A very small piece or part; a tiny portion or speck. 2. A very small or the smallest possible amount, trace, or degree: not a particle of doubt. The American Heritage Dictionary

Allow me the liberty here to express the thoughts that are flowing in me at this time. Especially those in regard to these definitions given above. Remember the thought is still on the word “sand”. In the scripture passage quoted above Jesus speaks about one who chose to build his house upon the sand, as one that is a foolish man.

In the passage of scriptures above the word foolish comes from the Greek word moros, which is where the English word moron finds its roots.

G3474 mōros mo-ros'

Probably form the base of G3466; dull or stupid (as if shut up), that is, heedless, (morally) blockhead, (apparently) absurd: - fool (-ish, X -ishness).

So basically the Lord Jesus says that every man (person) who builds his house (spiritual or natural place of dwelling) upon small loose grains of worn or disintegrated (components, particles, and fragments) of the rock is a moron. Now before you go and get mad at me for being so blunt let me make a disclaimer here by saying that all of us, myself included have been blockheaded morons at times. We have expressed our moronic ways through the promulgation of only a piece of the rock, i.e. our pet and favorite doctrines and beliefs, which in themselves have been only fragments of the true rock, Jesus Christ.

What I am hearing resounding in my Spirit at this time is that we, all of us, including myself, must start EATING THE WHOLE LAMB. We must be willing to take the bitter as well as the sweet, eating the head, the legs, and all the purtenance thereof. It will be in so doing, that we cease to build our houses upon sand, and start to truly build our houses upon the ROCK.

In the scripture passage above the difference between the wise man and the foolish man boils down to only one thing. The wise man heard and did, the foolish man heard and did not do. The same word(s) were spoken into the lives of both, but the foolish man chose to only hear and never to respond with a follow through action. There are examples of both wise men and foolish men sitting in every pew of our churches today. They all hear the same word(s) but the life of one is affected positively while the other remains in his/her state of spiritual stupor wondering what happened. What happened is this! The wise one heard and responded by acting upon the words heard thus changing his/her life, while the other one heard and probably even thought “WOW, what a great message!” yet he/she never applied the truths heard and thus there was no change for them. One wise, one foolish. One changed and one didn’t.

One of the words above used to define the word disintegrate was the word particle. Looking back we can see that the word particle meant a very small piece or part, a tiny portion or speck, and refers to the actual smallest possible amount. This speaks volumes to me about the religious and so-called Christian denominations and their counter parts the non-denominational churches of our day. If we will take a look at EVERY GROUP THAT MEETS THAT CALLS ITSELF “THE CHURCH” we will see that each of them have a very well defined list of by-laws, creeds, tenets of faith, and specific beliefs which they hold to as their core. They have placed a label upon themselves of Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Pentecostal, Assembly of God, Church of God, Eastern Orthodox, Greek Orthodox, Wesleyan, Independent, Dependent, Denominational and/or non-denominational, Kingdom, 3rd Day, etc…... Each of these labels becomes constricting in nature as once someone or something is labeled it not only shows what they are it also shows what they are not. To truly fit into any of these groups one must be willing to be as water. What do I mean by that? You see water doesn’t care which container it is in it fits into all of them. It takes on the shape of the container it presently resides in. It has no ability to change the structure, just to fit in.

For years I have wondered about myself, as have many others I am sure, about where do I fit in. I can get with a group and find some peace there but there will undoubtedly arise a situation or circumstance which will show me how I do not truly fit into that group. Be it a doctrinal difference or whatever, it comes forth. Now, let me explain that I am not trying to be a misfit, and I am not so stuck in the mud in my own beliefs that I cannot be changed as God causes the growth, but, I am also unable and unwilling to just give up what God has shown me over the years in order to make myself fit their mold. Although we all know that if we wanted to be popular we could attain that easily by drinking their brand of kool-aid. Regardless of how true that may be there are some of us who could care less about the political aspects of the church and religiously structured organizations made by and run by man. Let me make another short disclaimer here also: I truly believe that every organization, church, or religious group must have leadership within its ranks or else it becomes as a swamp land which is simply a watery place with no banks (structure). Structure and government are important even in the realm of the church or religious community, but, having said that, it is the rigidity of the structure made by man that I believe God is bringing to an end. God is causing divine connections to be made among fellow believers in churches and non-churched people across the world and in so doing He is forming a people who are without walls, who will become another part of His body that will affect positively the world in which they live as instruments of righteousness in this world. They may never meet in a specific place such as a church building, auditorium, etc… but they have become connected in Spirit and that bond cannot be broken. They may not support a specific church or denomination by their “tithing” or “giving” but they have grown to hear when the Spirit within says “SUPPORT THIS OR SUPPORT THAT”, “GIVE HERE OR GIVE THERE”. They are not a stingy or selfish people who do not give of their time, talents, or treasures, but they are not bound to a system man-made and fearful that if they don’t give to that group or organization that they will go to hell or not be blessed. They have found out that the blessings of The Lord maketh RICH AND HE ADDETH NO SORROW THEREWITH. They know that the blessings of God are not dependent upon you giving a tenth of your gross or net pay to help build another edifice for man to say look what I/we have done. They know that when God speaks to them directly that everything they have, not just a measly 10% belongs to God, and that when they give of their substance willingly and cheerfully that there is no way that they can out give God. They have found out that following Jesus is what frees them from the curse and that they are not walking and/or living under a so-called curse because they don’t give their 10% fee weekly, monthly, or annually. They have found out that “FREELY THEY HAVE RECEIVED, SO FREELY THEY GIVE.” They know that all they are is stewards over the portions that God has so graciously blessed them with and at any moment they could walk away from everything they supposedly possess knowing that God truly is their source and that if need be, HE can and will provide a table in the wilderness. They know that the more they give, whatever dimension of giving they give in, the more they will receive in return. It is the simple law (PRINCIPLE) of sowing and reaping. He that soweth sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he that will sow bountifully will also reap a bountiful harvest. They realize that the way up is down, the way to be blessed is to first be a blessing to others, the way to healing is to simply believe in and accept the provision made by Jesus at the Finished Work.

These people will not be able to be pressed into any mold man has made. They are non-conformists to tradition and that which would seek to dictate to them will ultimately lose them. They have had a brain-cleansing experience, not a brainwashing experience. They are not afraid of saying who they are, which is the absolute seed of God, being made manifest in this present world as Sons and Daughters of God, with the nature, characteristics, habits, features, and all else that goes along with the family which they are now a part of. The God family, not the Adam family. They are coming to know their identity comes from daddy, Father God, and that it is not blasphemous to say who you are. It may appear arrogant to others but I know who and whose I AM. I AM part of the Christ, the son of the Living God. I am not all there is to Him, nor are you, but we each have a functioning role and we must abide within the parameters of our calling. I seek no longer to criticize others who differ from me, nor do I judge them as not being a part of God. They are my brothers and sisters whether or not they have realized that yet or not. WE ARE FAMILY! Family does not always agree! Family does not always see eye to eye! But they are still family. They may become detached from one another at times but there is a divine connection there that can never be broken. Only fellowship can be broken by us, but not our relationship. You can never un-SON or un-Daughter yourself as that is not something you have power over, this is God’s choosing. No matter that sometimes I truly wish some weren’t part of my family, they still are. I must learn to deal with that also. If I am the one who is proclaiming to be advanced in my thinking and understanding then I must be the one to become accepting of them and not do as Peter did and try to cut their head off. Fortunately Peter was a bad aim and only got the ear. We must be the Jesus that reaches down and picks their ear up and puts it back on their heads so they can hear us. I guarantee you that the man that Jesus did that for never had another problem with Jesus again. When we will be the one who brings healing rather than division then we will see the true ministry of reconciliation at work through us. It will then draw our families to us rather than push them away. I have both seen and had some very poor attitudes personally toward those who fought against me because of my differences but I accept the present moment and swallow that up, knowing that the lesser is swallowed up of the greater. I at one time thought I was better than others, after all, look what God has shown me. What a disdainful attitude I had toward those whom I wanted and still want to reach. Until that sorry attitude in me changed I never saw one come forth to speak with me about the things of God which is where my heart truly is at. But now, as I mellow out, and as I live my life before them in love and kindness toward them, regardless of how they may react to me, I am seeing the hunger that is within them that they have not known up until now how to fill. I have them ask me questions and I answer with kindness and love toward them knowing that I at one time had many of these same questions. Had someone treated me in the manner in which I treated them I would not have been where I am today. Not that I AM perfect yet, but, I see perfection as part of my inheritance and I am pressing toward that mark with everything within me.

I am sure there will be more thoughts to develop on this as time progresses.

Love IN Christ,

Ken Hill
