Is God real? Is God evil? Is there a God?

Im not a christian. I dont know what I believe at this point. The question I have is, if God is this powerful presence that is in control of everything, then why didnt he make things all good from the beginning? Why did he make it where life is so hard? Why not just make everything perfect from the very start? Why couldnt it have been like heaven on earth, no death, no evil, no devil, just glorious heaven? Its like if he's real, he gets a kick out of seeing us suffer or something, when he could have prevented it. I dont get it.

If you have not seen bad, would you know what good really was? If you had never seen darkness, would you know to appreciate the light? We enjoy certain things in life, because we know that we could have it a lot worse. Have you ever noticed a child who has done without and has gotten very little his/her whole life, receive a gift that they never thought they'd have? The joy on they're face is worth a million dollars. They treat that gift as if it were made of gold. The reason is because they know what it's like not to have things. They know that this gift is to be treasured because you could be left with nothing at all. How would we know heaven was wonderful if we knew nothing but wonderful things? Knowing the bad makes the good that much better!

Toni,
You've stated my sentiments also, which you do often. There is no glory without struggle and victory. There can be no muscle without resistance. The greatest victory was Jesus and the Cross, knowing that it was the only way to have Resurrection. We're following Him to both. To win a super bowl or a gymnastics championship, hours of grueling pain in training is endured.

Whatever pain and difficulty one experiences in life will be rewarded by a higher prize than what one has suffered. The Word goes further to say that the sufferings of this present day are not worthy to be compared the the Glory which shall be revealed IN us. You'll see, and you'll say, after all you've went through, that the Crown is much greater than the battle.

It's true that we go through, at times, UNBEARABLE Pain, and feel sometimes rage or anger, or despair and a desire to give up, or we want to die, sometimes often. It seems like we're able to catch a breath and that the suffering is gone, and it comes again. But the knowing that
there is joy coming and victory and ability to walk as a conqueror keeps us enduring. ENDURE!!!!!! There is great victory up ahead. Continue the race. We run it with patience. There is an end to suffering as we learn to lose our weights and earthly desires, and desire and seek wholeheartedly the Kingdom of God.

Keep in mind Jesus and Job & David, and learn to Love yourself, for you are very important to God and His Kingdom. Keep going toward the goal. You will reach It, and you will see why all that has happened to you was for a great purpose! T

Why didn't God make everything perfect?

HE DID!!!! There is no time to God. So he's only a few seconds away from his completion.

Webster says: perfect="to bring to a completion"

God started, and he will complete..he did make things perfect..we're just stuck in the inbetween process. It is all about perspective. All of the hurts, and struggles you are talking about... are only for a moment.

You have to see the whole picture my friend, snowman

Snowman, WEBSTER says: MOMENT= a minute portion or point of time.

Were you playing that game of opposites again Mike? You really meant to say LIFETIME didnt you?

Heh advisor top of the morning to you!!! No I'm talking about the way God sees time...a thousand years is as ONE DAY..the bible says!!! So how long is a moment to God. That would make an hour over 41 and a half years. Trials usually don't last that long. (:

Agree with Mike here. The "Christ' in us does NOT look
at things the way the flesh does. What seems like a lifetime to the flesh, of pain, etc., the cross, if you
will, is looked upon as a MOMENT as Mike pointed out in
God's timing. I think it takes us a lifetime to see it
this way and probably lots of suffering, but we must
remember that He looked upon His disciples and said: "Ought
not He have suffered and entered into His glory." And He
did. From there, where He was "given" a Name above all
names, a name to which all others bow, His bloodLIFE
eternally flows even as it was flowing "before" the cross,
for He ate and drank with them before His passion, and
spoke: "This is my blood, of the NEW Covenant, which is]
shed for you." "I will not drink of the fruit of this
vine UNtil I drink it anew with you." And He ate and drank
with witnesses chosen "after" He rose from the dead. It
was this same Jesus.
