This morning I awakened with the following scriptures rolling over and over within my Spirit. In studying them this is what the Lord gave me and I want to share it with you. May God bless it to your hearts. I have taken the liberty to translate these Greek meanings from the Strong's dictionary and then also made a paraphrased edition of the verses based on what they spoke to me while having the actual definitions before me. The word of God is precious to me and becoming more so as the life of the Word illuminates my every step as I walk WITH AND IN HIM. If it is only letter to you it wn't mean as much but when the reality of it strikes upon you as it is doing in me the SPIRIT of the WORD just makes my baby leap inside me. It causes a genuine infilling of the Holy Ghost once again in my being and hopefully it will do so for you also. I pray God that you deal with every aspect of lust that is in me so that I be not drawn away with or after anything that is not like you. Let your finished work on the cross have preeminence in my life so that I may be a LIVING EXAMPLE of YOU. Live IN ME, THROUGH ME, AND AS ME, OH LORD. Shine forth as only you can and make me an instrument of your peace. Season my words so that they are life unto those who read them and health to all their flesh. In Jesus name! Amen!Jas 1:12-17 (12) BlessedG3107 is the man that endureth G5278 temptation: G3986 for when he is tried, G1384 he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. (13) Let no man say when he is tempted, G3985 I am tempted G3985 of G575 God: G2316 for G1063 God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth G3985 he any man: G3762 (14) But every man is tempted, G3985 when he is drawn away G1828 of G5259 his own G2398 lust, G1939 and enticed. G1185 (15) Then when lust G1939 hath conceived, G4815 it bringeth forth G5088 sin: G266 and sin, G266 when it is finished, G658 bringeth forth G616 death. (16) Do not G3361 err, G4105 my beloved brethren. (17) Every good G18 gift G1394 and every perfect G5046 gift G1434 is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, G5457 with G3844 whom is no variableness, G3883 neither shadow G644 of turning. G5157 Verse 12 with the meanings from Strongs Greek Dictionary Blessed (happy, supremely blest, fortunate and well off) is the man that endureth (undergoes, bears, has fortitude and perseveres in) temptation (experience, adversity, discipline or provocation): for when he is tried (acceptable and approved), he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Verse 12 Ken Hill paraphrased edition Supremely blest well off and fortunate is the man that perseveres in and under every experience of adversity. Having the fortitude to stand through the tests, trials and/or provocation of the enemy. For when that man (woman or child) is tried and proven acceptable, he shall receive the crown of life, which has been promised by God to those that love the Lord. Verse 13 with the meanings from Strongs Greek Dictionary Let no man say when he is tempted (scrutinized, enticed, examined, proven, tested, disciplined, [through the idea of piercing]), I am (scrutinized, enticed, examined, proven, tested, disciplined, [through the idea of piercing]) of (because of , in, with or by) God (the supreme Divinity): for (because, for indeed, no doubt) God (the supreme Divinity) cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth (scrutinized, enticed, examined, proven, tested, disciplined, [through the idea of piercing]) he any man (not even one, man, woman or thing), that is, none, nobody, nothing:): Verse 13 Ken Hill paraphrased edition Let not any man (person) say when he is examined and proven, disciplined or tested by various piercing events that he is being pierced by God the supreme diety. Because God cannot be tested, or disciplined, or proven by evil, and he does not pierce, test, or prove anyone (man, woman or thing) with that which is evil. Verse 14 with the meanings from Strongs Greek Dictionary But every man is tempted (scrutinized, enticed, examined, proven, tested, disciplined, [through the idea of piercing]), when he is drawn away (dragged forth, enticed) of (under, through, and with) his own (one’s own, private or separate, and pertaining to self) lust (longings [especially for what is forbidden] after that which he sets his heart upon) and enticed (tricked, deluded, entrapped, or beguiled). Verse 14 Ken Hill paraphrased edition But temptation to do evil comes upon every man, and he is tested and pierced thereby, when he is dragged forth with an enticement and drawn away from that which he truly is, because of his own private and separate longings after that which he knows is forbidden and that enticement is his alone. It is not of God and God didn’t cause it. Verse 15 with the meanings from Strongs Greek Dictionary Then when lust (longings [especially for what is forbidden] after that which he sets his heart upon) hath conceived (clasped, seized, gripped, arrested and captured), it bringeth forth (produces and brings forth, as a mother, a seed, the earth, etc…) death. Verse 15 Ken Hill paraphrased edition When that which man has set his heart upon which is forbidden conceives, grasps hold of him, he becomes captured and arrested by it and it then begins to produce the only fruit which it can produce and that is the fruit of death in every realm of man. Verse 16 with the meanings from Strongs Greek Dictionary Do not (God forbid, never…) err (roam from safety, truth or virtue, wander out of the way, become delusional) my beloved brethren. Verse 16 Ken Hill paraphrased edition God forbid that you should ever roam from the safety, truth and virtue you have known, as in doing so you will wander away and become delusional because you have left the truth my beloved brethren. Verse 17 with the meanings from Strongs Greek Dictionary Every good (good, Well and beneficial) gift (giving, bestowment, bringing forth and grant) and every perfect (complete and perfect) gift (gratuitous bestowment) is from above, and cometh down from the Father of Lights (luminousness, to shine or make manifest), with whom is no variableness (transmutation or change or variation), neither shadow of turning. Verse 17 Ken Hill paraphrased edition For every beneficial bestowment and every complete and perfect bestowment is from the realm above, and cometh down from the Father who makes manifest and shines His truth upon you. With Him there is no change or variation and not even a shadow of turning. He remains the same forever!
