Our Economy

Today I am thinking about how there has been a shift in our economy, and it has caused us to function differently. We have become prudent managers of expenditures. I wonder if we were willing to judge ourselves in relationship to the body of Christ, if we might find solutions?

It is my opinion, that for the most part, our society has been in pursuit of affluence and extravagance. The appetite for more is never satisfied.

We often think of judgment as a bad thing, but the word tells us to learn to do well, seek Judgment. If judgment were something terrible, why would we be told to seek it?

When God looks at the heart of man, he sees the motive, and the true intent of the heart. When we judge ourself, we look inside to see our thoughts, and our intent, as to why we do what we do.

As we examine ouselves, we may find that our soul purpose has been destructive to our bodies and to our psyches.

There is an answer for where we have come to in this time in our lives. Some may say Christ is the answer, and this is true, however Christ is a many membered body. Surely, there is a solution to resolve the economy today, and I believe the answer is in the house. Remember Judgment begins in the house, which you are.

Isaiah 1:17 says Learn to do well, seek JUDGMENT, relieve the oppressed, Judge the fatherless, pled for the widow.

The word judgment means to make right the wrong in the Hebrew, or old testament. If you define it in the greek,or the new testament, it means to come to a crisis place.

I believe judgment is the answer, and seeking judgment for ourselves will bring the answers we are looking for.

Please write and tell me what you think??? Gayle

Gayle You are so right about desiring God's judgement.

However, I don't believe we can examine our self for the soul is blind to itself. Instead we can move through this life having confidence Christ by His Spirit will shine a light upon our souls and illuminate the hidden dark things within us. And when He shines that light we abhor the condition and by His grace and the power of His sinless life it is overcome. He shows us sin, He makes us sick of it, He overcomes it. It's all Him.

He points the darkness out and then He cleans it up. To do it ourselves is but dead works that only produce self righteousness. The soul when it leads always has an agenda that will in the long run allow itself to live rather than die that it might be resurrected and made one with the spirit. The soul dieing and being resurrected is progressive .... from glory to glory He takes us. The soul has an agenda while the Spirit is of "pure motive." Heck we could even call the Spirit of God, "Pure Motive" and we would not be wrong.

I tried for years to examine myself and then work at making myself better only to find I had cleaned the outside of the cup and developed a nice case of self righteousness. I won't even speak of the sinful areas in my life that got worse. lol

Any way excuse the rambling. I hope I have shared some truth.

1 Corinthians 15:10
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

What Gayle is saying is so true. You cannot judge yourself in the soulical arena..for that would not be true judgement. You judge yourself(soul)hidden emotions..intellect..wrong thinking etc., by your spirit..the God part of you. You cannot judge yourself unless the spirit of God is awake in you!!

Of course we know that this does not mean judging ourselve is going to church 3 times a week and paying our tithe. John said: cleaning up the outside of the platter is all this will ever produce..self-righteousness.

True judgement only comes from the spirit WITHIN..not without.

We are to examine ourselves. Let go of our ego's..our wrong motives.

We are to judge saints..and angels. 1 cor. 6:2 and 3

If you only see God outside yourself..you will never bring true judgement..you will need some years and some seasoning in these things to truly understand them. So seek judgement..and your spirit of God within will bring the much needed change!!!

As I was going to church last Sunday I was listening to a local church program and something was said that stirred up this within me.

We are required to make judgments every day of our lives. Among the judgments we must make is concerning our relationships with others. Can I trust this person? Do I really know this person? Does this person have hidden agendas?

How we judge these matters will determine our reaction to them. We all do these things and it is necessary for us to do them. However, we get into trouble when we pass judgment onto others.

There is a big difference in making judgments as to how we will deal with someone and judging someone. When we judge someone we make a declaration concerning them and it usually is in the negative manner.

Just some thoughts.

I believe that the understanding of the word judgment is misrepresented. I don't mean to repeat myself however, Judgment defined in the old testament is to make right what has been wrong. Judgment defined in the new testament is to come to a crisis place. Its my opinion that the true gospel has been perverted by the doctrines of man. Many of us have man's religion, because of what we are being taught, and at best it is a confused mixture.

We hear the word Judgment, and our thoughts go to a day of reckoning, where we think we will be punished for our wrong doing. We have been taught there will be a Judgment Day! Those of us who have been churched most of our lives, have been indoctrinated by fear, and we have become a people on a sin hunt. The doctrine of man discourages independent thought.

The Jewish Ceremony, the Barmitzvah, is the time the Jewish boy arrives at the age of religious responsibility. The boy had been taught by his mother untill now, but from this point on, the boy becomes a man, he now takes his Father's name, and he is now taught by his Father.

If you can hear this by Spirit, we have been taught by the woman or perhaps the church, untill the day we hear Father's voice. As we begin to hear Father, we may encounter a strong diviation, from that we've heard all our lives. Some of us hear Father's voice and think we have been called to preach. We might start our own church, or begin doing something we are familiar with, because change is graduel, and it comes by process.

Jesus said to rebuild this Temple, and in three days he would raise it up again. He was referring to his body, by death, burial, and resurrection.

We too, experience the rebuilding of our Temple by way of a three day journey, or perhaps by way of the three feasts. We walk out his death, burial, and his resurrection, and we become the word made flesh.

The Judgment Day is not in our future, it is in our past, and Jesus made a new covenant with his creation, a covenant of Grace. He found faught with the Law, and no one made it in to the Promise Land under the Law, not even Moses, the mediater of that covenant.

John, you are so right, although we have been instructed to get ourselves right, some of us have come to understand we will never be right by cleaning up Adam, or this nature within us. We have tried to name sin, and fluff and buff Adam, only to conclude, no not one. The bible says the law revives sin.

The new covenant was written to the new man, and when our understanding is a mixture of law and grace, we are blind, and we shut up faith. There are two of us, and preaching to the old Adam, will always repeat itself. Understanding what God says about us in our new nature will restore us.

In order for change or conversion to take place in our life, there must be a time when we judge ourself. I have seen process in my own life, such as walking out the Tabernacle, or the 3 room house. I recently wrote about this, but we walk out the outer court experience, where we come to know Jesus as our Savior. Some of us go on, and enter the Holy Plce as we understand Pentecost. The third feast, is where we go beyond the vail, and where we come to know him as Lord. Remember the Hebrew women called their husbands Lord.

This third feast beyond the vail, is where he becomes our husband. Untill this time we have been a bride, and brides are vailed. The vail represents our flesh, and if we are still vailed, we will continue to see God outside ourselves. We will point the finger at others, and we will have a self-righteous attitude. We will display fear, prejudicial hatred against those who are different, and do not think as we do.

I have learned this by watching this behavior, however, I confess I was just this way before I judged myself. When the vail is removed, and our flesh is not hindering us from seeing ourself, we will not be able to point our finger at anyone.

True judgment begins in the house of the Lord, which we are. True judgment will make us love one another, and want to find a solution to help others when we see wrong intent, and this experience with God gives us eyes to see motive, because the flesh has been removed. The bible says The saints shall judge the world, and if the world shall be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? It says the saints will judge the angels; We will not be judging them down, but judging them in a way to make right all that is wrong.

I said all of this to say that we have the answers the world is looking for, and the beginning of this understanding is to learn to do well, and judge yourself.

Scripture tells us " we are God's workmanship"
Thus judgement of our selves is given to Him. We can be confident that He will purge all uncleanliness from us in His own time and in His own way. We can rest in this ......... 'rest' being the operative word.

Did you know "the white throne judgement" is today?

Anonymous, This is what I wrote about, it appears to me that you see God outside yourself. When Jesus was crucified, he said "it is finished". you sound as though you expect God to do something more. He has already purged all uncleanliness from us judicially, as we are walking it out experientially. This is where we seek the judgment, in consideration of what he has already done. He sees us as the righteousness of God. And true, we are now seated at the right hand of the Father, seated in heavenly places. Jesus said if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. If we are resting in the fact that God will purge, we might never understand what he has asready done in a finished work. And I agree with the white throne judgment is now, however, I believe it is actually a throne of light..not the color white. His light HAS judged us.

I am not completely sure, but I believe your comprehension of the word judgment reflects another interpretation that might be preconcieved in your thinking. I was wondering how you might define the word, judgment?

I know I have some fixed ideas about things, and the ability to change my thinking is graduel. For me to change my thinking comes only after there has been some exterminating in my Temple. I find I do not have spiritual understanding sometimes when Michael will explain something. I even say I am not ready for that thought as yet, but I do notice over time I don't throw out the whole idea. It keeps coming to me, and I am reminded of Mary, who pondered the things she did not understand. Rebuilding our Temple can be confusing, because we have acquired tradition, culture, heritage, and religion.

Perhaps what I wrote about has not been your experience in God, and I want to discern the body with love and grace. I may need to learn to say it another way, that the body is able to hear. I personally believe it is important, because the son's of God must be able to plant in the earth, that change might come and the body become one. If it helps, this thought came to me after reading about the winds of judgment in Rev.7. Love In Christ, Gayle

Gayle I believe we are saying much the same thing unless you find offense with this:

We can neither judge nor cleanse ourselves. Christ within judges and cleanses the soul. He makes our whorish souls even as virgins, for He makes all things new.

"If anything about my salvation or right standing with God depends on me, I'm toast, damned to hell."

I am God's workmanship and in this I rest,

John

That depends on who ME is...

Jesus said: "If you've seen ME...

you've seen the...father

John said: If it depends on me...

John...what do you mean...damned to hell??????

What is hell??

The rich man(the whole Jewish priesthood) in Luke 16 was in the hellish system of the law... that his tongue..his religious speech created. James says: the tongue IS..a fire..that creates the COURSE of HELL.

That high priest clothed in his purple and FINE LINEN(only the high priest wore linen on the day of atonement) wanted of all things..that beggar..the gentile nation moving in the new covenant by faith..to touch his tongue with water(water of the word)change his speech(gospel)and then he would get a bear-hug from the father of FAITH..ole Abe himself.

Well Johnny..if your damned to hell..you can thank God for the "lake of fire" that will burn that hellish nature out of you!!!! Rev. says: and death AND hell were cast into the lake of fire. You see..it gets your carnal mind. For to be carnally minded IS death!!! Romans 8:6

So what is this lake of fire???

Perhaps it's God's sons who have become his consuming FIRE!! Psalms says: HIS ministers are flames of fire. The rich man said: "I'm tormented(tested)judged..in THIS flame. The life message torments those who preach the death message!!! God says: I'll be the fire that comes out of your mouth. The sons are cleansing this earth of all carnal doctrines with this brimstone cleansing fire!!! Thank God for the lake of fire. It is the GOOD news..if we have an ear to HEAR!!!!

"John...what do you mean...damned to hell??????

Snowman, why the condescending "Johnny?" Does your belittlement make you feel bigger? Is that the Spirit of Christ?

The use of the phrase "hell" is called hyperbole my friend ...... just a little hyperbole lol. Hades would have sufficed or Gahenna however the phrase would loose a litle of it's flavor which is "the absurdity of trying to help God save you." Let us "rest" now, eh.

Christ is the “Author and the Finisher” of our salvation. God's covenant with each us is based upon what God will do, not man, hence it's fulfillment is secure.

My favorite phrase of advise is, "give up and let God!"

In His Sweet Lord Jesus,

John

PS. The Truth is also fire in that it burns the flesh. I see this often.

Judgement past, present, or future...internal or external is painful.
It will plow your field and hoe your corn. It feels like hell hot and multiplied.

Wish I could learn a few things the easy way.

Anonymous, I do not find offense with anything you write. This site is a place where anyone can give their opinion and state their questions, or just talk about their thoughts for the day. Iron sharpens iron, and at the end of the day, its all good.

I appreciate you, and find much wisdom in your writings.

If I take the time to write about a subject matter I feel is important enough to change the world, I feel no pressure to compromise my understanding of truth.

While I want to be considerate of your comprehension of what is being said, I think we are writing about two different things, and I'll say it again, we can judge ourselves.

I am not writing about our salvation, for I agree that there is nothing we can do to change the fact that Jesus died for us, and our salvation is not at all contingent on anything we do. We are saved, righteous, set apart, and holy only because of Jesus.

I believe if we have to put ourselves through all kinds of impositions and religious sacraments for comfirmation of our salvation, I say go ahead, "knock yourself out". We do all kinds of things to find ourselves, and at the end of the journey its all about him, and having faith to believe what he did was enough.

That being said, We are told to judge ourselves, and the reason I find this irrefutable, is because I judge myself. I judge my attitude, my true intent, my bad behavior, my sharp tongue, and many other conditions that might defile the body. I do not judge myself in question of my salvation, or because I think I can make myself perfect. He said "Learn to do well, judge yoursef".

I do not believe Jesus came so we could make heaven our home. He took care of that for us, however, he did come to give us a life. He set the law in the earth of seed, time, and harvest. The part of us that is earthy is under this law, and when we judge ourselves, we learn to do well.

I also believe there are two of us, and the bible speaks of our Spirit being polluted. Untill I understood this, I always thought the Spirit of man was pure, and it was the flesh that was corrupt. The Adam part of us is expected to miss the mark, or sin, because this is Adam's nature. The Spirit is the God part of us, the new creation, and I wondered how could our Spirit be polluted? The way I explain this, is when we experience change, and we turn from our old way of thinking, we begin in a place where all of our surroundings have damaged who we are. In the midst of an identity crisis, we walk out this new nature. It is absolutely miraculous how we become a new creation, and how we actually see a true nature change. We see the nature of God in us, as we become equitable, fair, steadfast, honest, and just. We begin to inhabit the attibutes of God, like Father like Son.

I could give this more definition by writing about the seals in the old testament that we are intended to open, as we walk out our salvation, but I only intended to talk about our world today, and what I believe would bring change. Gayle

Once again I believe you are saying the same thing all be it in many words. It is the spirit man/the new creation man/the Christ man that judges the carnal man/old man/ Adamic man. Our spirit is knit with Christ's when we are born again.

That which I teach is; with the inward working of our salvation the unruly soul must learn quietness and rest. Also the soul is blind to it's condition thus it cannot heal itself. If you want to go deeper, so great is the ignorance/blindness of the soul it is not even accountable. Thus, Jesus cried out from the cross,"forgive them for they know not what they do." These were soulish men, blind and ignorant. I was was once like these poor men.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.

I'll tell ya, it's all Grace ..... and in time everyone will taste it to the fullness ....... aren't you glad!

Heh there John. One of my best friends in my middle teens liked to be called Johnny..who was 5 years my elder. I have always called Jesus cuz...Johnny the Baptist..just in fun.

Do not be so easily offended..it is a term of endearment..depends on your perspective. You posed a question. Is that the spirit of Christ?

If you are going to talk about Jesus Christ..let's look at this fine young man.

He called Peter when he got in the flesh...satan
He called the religious order of that day..devils
He overturned the money changer's tables..and used a whip he went home to make..

Was this the spirit of Christ...

Perhaps we ALL need to let go of our ego's and realize we are not all that!

It is only when we have ourselves to high and lifted up that we are easily offended. selah

Won't work with me Snowman. Your motives are easily seen.

I will excuse myself from this discussion knowing that soon you will speaking of yourself as a tough marine and some kind of father in the faith. Wake up my friend and let Him dress you.

Because they are blind they suppose that no one else can see. But God has a people who walk with Him in the Spirit in this hour who can see! They behold transcendent realities in the Spirit and they can also see the nakedness of the carnal man.

Remember John that you are a guest on this site which happens to belong to Gayle and I. Your arrogant attitude is uncalled for. I think you need to have some spiritual experiences and need to be seasoned. Your youth shows by how you act up on this site.

Won't work with me snowman???..do you think that I have to work with you? My motives? I'm not on your site combatting you and your wife as you have done. Your attitude needs to change. A mature son would never embrace this posture.

John I'm asking you as the host of this site to post as much as you want to...but do not come on here to undermine any authority that also writes on here. If I continue to see this combative spirit displayed I will as the host of this site remove you.

You are a good writer..but I do not see you as a father. I know many ministries that I worked with for many years as I traveled 28 states and Canada that were spiritual fathers. I hope that your not offended at this. This will be a test for you whether you take this correction or rebel against it.

Amazing how selective we can be when writing something as was John above. The next verse of that song above that you so willingly omitted says

"When we've been there 10,000 years, bright shining as the sun. We've no less days to sing Gods praise than when we first begun."

Question: Where is there? Is it here or is it there? If there, where is there? Beyond the milky way? In the wild blue yonder? Surely you can't even begin to believe this place we are in now is the "fullnes of what God refers to as heaven."

Mike,
A wonderful dissertation to John for a change. His views do not reflect many of theothers who post on this site with you. It has amazed me that you have put up with his junk this long. As for me I can only usually read the first few lines of anything he posts as it is so bitter sounding and some of it is purely poppycock.

Anyway, yall have a great day! Hoping to see more sensible stuff on here like some of the great things Gayle has been saying lately rather than John's almost endless rants.
