On June 15th, 2009 Dr. Kelley Varner was called home to his reward. Kelley was a great teacher and expositor of the Word of God, and a pioneer in the message of the present Kingdom of God. He was loved by many, hated by some, and misunderstood by some as well. Whenever he preached or taught you received of the deposit of God that was within him because he was so willing to share of that which was within him.

I had some personal experiences with Bro. Varner which I will never forget.

On one ocasion we were in the same meeting in a small town in North Carolina. He had ministered and it was coming up on my time to minister. We were in a separate room together for a brief few moments and he turned to me and said; "Here, the Lord told me to give this to you." With that he handed me an envelope of cash which was the offering he had just received. He then walked away and we never spoke again for many months.

On one other occasion he truly blessed my Spirit. I had been preaching at a conference and he was on the front row of that meeting. I was relatively new to the things of the Kingdom message at that time and I had heard much of his ministry. Though he was not one to try to intimidate you, I was one who at that time was easily intimidated by the presence of someone so well known in ministry, as he was. I finished preaching the message God had given me that day and went to my seat. He asked the pastor for the mike and turned and spoke directly to me. He said "that was one of the greatest messages I have ever heard" and he publicly asked for my permission to use it as one of his tapes of the month. Needless to say I was flabbergasted. I only say this to let you know that no matter how deep and knowledgeable he was he still had a heart for other ministers and was always willing to push someone else forward. This is so unlike many ministers today.

Kelley Varner, you will be missed. Our deepest sympathy goes out to your family and you will always be remembered for your part in the furtherance of God's True Kingdom that is within us all. Your writings will continue to bless the multitudes as long as they are published.

Other incidences I shared with Bro.Varner also revealed that not only was he a great man of God, he was also just a real man. Not bound by tradition and willing to be himself wherever he was. I honor you today for your deposit into God's kingdom within me.

Love IN Christ,
Ken Hill

Ken may I echo your testimony about Kelly Varner. I first met him at Earl Paulk's pastor's conference in 1985 and when I told him I was from West Virginia he through one of those big bear hugs on me and told me he wanted to come and speak at my church. We made the arrangements and when he walked into the sanctuary he opened his mouth and begin to prophesy.

At every service after that for three days he prophesied to everyone in our church and our people still to this day talk about that meeting. Over the years he came our way many times and was always a blessing by the things he taught us about the word of the Lord.

Every time I would attend any of the meetings he held he would stop and recognize me and introduce me to his audience as the preacher from WV. I saw him give away probably more of his books than he sold. He always wanted to bless other men and women called of God with what the Lord had shared with him.

He has left the presence of the Lord on many hundreds and thousands of people through out the world and will go down in the history of God's hall of fame as one of the best.

I to honor Kelley's memory and what he has meant to my life and ministry. I was truly honored to have had the privilege to be able to call him my friend.

Kelly worshiped and called others to worship a terroristic Deity that burned and tormented the majority of His children for eternity. He came dressed as an angel of light to build Babylon and work the people.

When will you twoQBREX8 learn to tell the truth and tell it like it is.

Go Ken! You are so right. I guess this anonymous person doesnt really believe what he/she pretends to believe. If you have to lamblast anyone then you dont really believe in the power of God for reconciliation anyway. You have a head knowledge but no change in your heart anonymous.
Perhaos you should try some love rather than being so judgmental of a fellow believer.

This man preached, until he died, an "eternal hell" reserved for most of his neighbors. God help you that don't discern the God of loving purpose from the pagan hellfire God of most of Christianity.

They always come as angels of light, don't they.

WHAT ARE YOU SO ANGRY ABOUT? THERE IS NO ONE HERE ATTACKING YOU BUT SINCE YOU DONT LIKE ANYONE WHO PREACHES HELL THEN I GUESS YOU BELIEVE BILLY GRAHAM IS A HEATHEN ALSO. YOU REALLY NEED TO GET A LIFE. BESIDES THAT I HAVE SPOKEN WITH KELLEY ABOUT RECONCILIATION AND HE WAS A BELIEVER IN IT. BUT THERE IS MORE TO PREACH THAN JUST THAT. I WOULD ALSO THINK THAT A PERSON WHO BELIEVES IN RECONCILIATION WOULD AT LEAST EXHIBIT SOME LOVE TOWARD SOMEONE BUT YOU OFFER NOTHING BUT SNIDE REMARKS. PERSONALLY GIVE ME A HELL FIRE PREACHER WITH A GOOD ATTITUDE OVER YOUR TYPE OF HATRED AND VENOM ANYDAY AT LEATS I CAN TALK TO THEM. AND THEY ARENT AFRAID AND HIDING BEHIND SOME ANONYMOUS SETTING.
IVE ALWAYS HEARD SOME FOLKS SAY THAT UNTIL GOD REVEALS THE TRUTH TO YOU THEN YOU WONT SEE IT ANYWAY. SO IF GOD HAS YET TO REVEAL THAT TRUTH TO SOMEONE THEN HOW CAN YOU BE SO JUDGMENTAL ABOUT IT AND THEM. IT IS GODS DOING NOT OURS. PEOPLE LIKE YOU WILL NEVER WITH YOUR ATTITUDE WIN ANYONE TO YOUR WAY OF THINKING. IN FACT, YOU WOULD TURN MORE PEOPLE OFF THAN YOU WOULD EVER BE ABLE TO ENLIGHTEN ON ANY TRUTH WITH YOUR SORRY ATTITUDE. HOW HYPOCRITICAL OF YOU TO DECLARE SOMEONE WITH AN ANOINTING OF GOD ON THEIR LIFE AS AN ANGEL OF LIGHT. WHO MADE U THE JUDGE? SURELY NOT THE WORD OF GOD. I KNOW WHO YOU ARE YOU SOUND JUST LIKE JUAN/JACK WHO ONLY CAME ON HERE TO ARGUE ANYWAY OR WORSE YET JOHN FROM SO-CALLED GOODNEWS INC. FRED

I too am saddened at the loss of Kelly Varner.
I have known him since 1987. He was also a friend to many folks that I know.

I have several books by him and even more teaching tapes.(boxes and boxes) Kelly was the minister that introduced me to reconciliation. I can honestly say, that I do not recall him ever teaching about hell. Not in the traditional/religious sense.

Kelly was a great inspiration in my life and a trigger for many of my songs. I will miss him. I will also treasure every book and tape that is in my collection.

I know my mom is with him today enjoying the new reunion.

My husband was shocked at his passing as he desired to meet him face to face and shake his hand for great influence that he has had on his life.

Kelly may never know all the lives that he has touched. May each and everyone of us hope to reach as many as he.

He was diligent, dedicated, and had great conviction in his lifes' work. He wasn't perfect but he sought the perfect one.

Kelly taught us of the tabernacle, and the pattern son. He pulled back the veil and shot the arrows forth becoming the nudge that began our awakenings. He took our rapture away and replaced it with a 'Now' mentality. He showed us the Daystar rising within. He taught us that 'WE' are his dwelling place. God is interested in living within and not just a visitation. He taught that we are the Isreal
not the Jacobs. God is interested in Spirit man not geography. Not returning to build a temple on a pile of rocks in Jerusalem...but WE ARE HIS TEMPLE.

He also taught us of re-membering. He showed us the sheep and goat mentality. Yes, he came off gruff and harsh at times but he was also generous, kind, and giving as Ken stated earlier.

He wouldn't let just anyone stand in his pulpit until he knew their resume. Not the one on paper, but the one of his life, his family, his home, and children. Was the preacher qualified by loving and caring for his home? Because if he wasn't....Kelly wouldn't turn him loose on his beloved congregation. Kelly had a Shepheards heart for his people. And by that we learned that he would not allow a wild ass mentality in his church....the evangelist that spread his seed and ran away only to produce bastard children. No Kelly was a Father among Fathers.

I am forever grateful to him.

Sincerely and respectfully,
Bev

Dear Anonymous

Thus the danger of learning to know truth and not having a relationship with the author of truth. My dear friend if you have come to know the Father you will be able to discern the Son. Have you not learned anything through you experience over the years. I would be willing to bet you that what you believe and know as the truth has changed since you were born again.

Then why do you want to sit in judgment of another man's knowledge of the truth because you disagree with him on some subject that you think you have all the truth on? Where is your love and patience and trust in the Holy Spirit to reveal His deeper truths as He wills to individuals?

Be slow to speak against the anointed ones of the Father. Read of the life of David and his relationship with Saul and learn to be like David who had a heart like his Father.

If you think you have insight on this man be a man and let us know who you are. If you know the truth you don't have to be afraid of those who are the truth.

Love you

Dave

Dave,
Thank you for your comments on this subject. I agree with you wholeheartedly. I find it very interesting that someone is such a single issue person like anonymous. Though I cant and wont speak for anonymous I do know what I have heard Kelley say specifically concerning reconciliation and no man/woman/child can take that away from me. I also knew him personally and his life was above reproach as far as I could tell. But I am not the judge. When you have spoken to someone personally about something and have learned their heart on the matter then no one can ever take that away from you. It is a crying shame that someone with knowledge has no true experience with the Father so much so that they criticize the anointed of the Lord as was Bro. Varner. My only intention was to honor the man for the input he has had in my life and not to make him as some god-like figure. No one qualifies as God to me except God Himself. I do find it very interesting that a phrase I first heard Kelley say fits so well here. "A man with an experience,is never at the mercy of a man with an argument."

Furthermore, if a miinister is a hell-fire, damnation, preaching raptre believer and they have an anointing on their life I won't touch them. I have seen more results of true healings and miracles from ministers who have never heard of UR than I have seen from a whole house full of UR preachers. They have laid aside most of their giftings and have accepted anything and everything that comes down the pike as "the will of God for them" and several I am personally acquainted with are miserably sick and diseased.

Is it possible that many are weak and sickly among us because they are not properly discerning the Lord's Body? If I am not mistaken, the body of Christ consists of many parts, not all equal in knowledge, function, or position, but all are important.

It sort of makes me wonder about a doctrinal viewpoint that says that all will be saved anyway and then having to be critial of one who believes differently than them. It sounds like a head knowledge without a true relationship with the author to me.

I also think that many people are not afraid of the truth of reconciliation as much as they are afraid of the kooks who promote it. Before anyone jumps on e for that statement let me say that I know many people who do believe in UR that are great people/good Christians/ with great families who are in tact and who are all serving God in some capacity. That is not the kooks I am speaking about. It is the people who want to argue the position without scriptural basis for their argument and who also cannot be questioned about any statement they make without giving a pat answer of "IT IS WRITTEN" or "GOD HAS SPOKEN" even though it is only their own interpretation and not scripture contextually based.

Just sharing my heart.

Just a few more thoughts. As I was reading my last post I just wanted to say that in no way do I believe that you are in sin or not living right if there are problems/sicknesses/diseases/etc... in your physical body. I do not believe that!

But, having said that, I still believe that the same God who I was raised believing in at the Pentecostal Church and who healed me of asthma when I was a child of 2, and who gave me a miracle in my body when I was facing a surgery a few years back, is still the same today as He was then. He HAS NOT CHANGED!

I find it very sad that most of the kingdom preachers, UR preachers, and deeper life preachers, and Finished work teachers/preachers, have come to accept any condition in their body rather than resisting it thru the provision of healing that Jesus paid for at the whipping post, prior to Calvary.

I have even heard some of these preachers refer to such things as laying hands on the sick, prayer, etc... as "OLD ORDER". I find that most unfortunate as that would place Jesus' ministry in the "OLD ORDER". I personally would be thrilled if everywhere I went I was doing good, healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out devils, etc... rather than like some going forth casting out the sick, burying their dead, and raising the devil.

You see, some have become so critical of these gifts that they have condemned anyone who operates in them. Well I for one have large shoulders and if you wanna call me old order go ahead. But when God rises up in me and heals the sick, etc... I am doing that which God has called me to do. I could actually care less what anyone wants to say about that. They didn't give me the gofts and they can't take them away from me.

I believe we are coming to a time of true restoration of the absolute power of God in our lives that will surpass any move of God we have ever seen. This will not be to promote a man/woman/child but it will be to bless the people of the Lord and show that there is a difference between the world and the church, His Body. I believe it will take this inmorder for people to truly recognize that the church is not a system man-made but it is a living organism that will affect the world around it.

Oh, those Babylonian ministers. They will lie, cheat and steal to protect their Pagan Christianity.

Carry on boys.

What proof do you have of any one of these ministers lying, cheating, or stealing? You probably have none as I know most of them and they are men and women of integrity. Unlike yourself who hides behind an anonymous monacher because you are afraid of something.

I heard a statement years ago and it certainly applies to you anonymous. It goes like this: It is better to keep ones mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove ALL doubt. What a perfect fit for you.

I'd be glad to meet with you anytime and discuss these issues if you have the balls to back up your accusations in person. But that wouldnt be your nature as you are a hidden person who is a religious sniper. You have no relationship with truth, you only have a despicable attitude that shows your narcissistic beliefs. No substance all rhetoric. FRED

Hi Ken

Someone told me that you were related to Benny Skinner! Is that true or do you know him? I have had him at our church many times and he is a good brother with much truth.

I appreciated your comments here but I don't expect our brother Jack to understand what we are talking about.

1700 years of pagan Christianity and you ministers are still beating that dead horse along with the poor people that ride it.

Is there no shame!

Dave,
Yes! I am related to Bennie Skinner. Distant cousins and close brothers. I have ministered many times for Bennie and that is where I first met Kelley Varner, ironic isnt it? LOL Would love the opportunity to meet you sometime. In God's timing.

Heh Ken, Dave, and blessed Bev. I would not get too mad at this little fellow that did not know Kelly Varner. We all knew that Kelly was a wonderful man of God that was very studious and wrote many wonderful books. The bible says: mark them that cause divisions among you..so my little friend you are marked and loved. I know all of you and you are all great people of God..keep up the good work my beloved friends.

I was shocked to hear of Kelly's passing. I talked to my good friend Steve Everett which was a close friend of Kelly's. We were both surprised when we heard the news. Kelly left a great deposit of the father here in this dimension..he will be missed by thousands. You are forever loved brother Kelly.

I am a believer of UR....BUT. I also see the danger in it I still believe that we are to press on to live and inspire others to live for Jesus Christ and a life led by the Spirit. The danger of UR is thinking everything is ok and following anything. I believe more than ever we were created for earth even more so than heaven so is heaven or hell really an issue?

Yes I believe that heaven is a wonderful reality but that is not why I am alive on earth. So in the words of a beautiful man Kelley Varner whose teachings saved my life. "They preach reconciliation as a doctrine rather than just being a reconciler." I will give my life trying to be a reconciler!

Sound the alarm pg. 104

Kevin,
No truer words have been spoken in a while. Though I believe in reconciliation I am also a believer in personal responsibility, personal choice, and in living righteously before the Lord and my fellow man to the best of the ability HE places within me. I know just these few words may cause some aggravation and cause a few to attack me again, but that is OK. I can handle the attack, I have a big God.
We must set our lives forth as an example of the righteousness of God just as did the disciples. The apostle Paul said, follow me AS I FOLLOW CHRIST. I too can say the same thing. But only as I follow Christ, just as Paul did.
I am not righteous because of anything I have done but because of HIS FINISHED work. His suffering, not mine, his cross, not mine.
