Ok, this is for anyone that can shed some light on this topic. ie: Mike, Ken, Bob, etc....whoever has an answer.

I have been asking the Lord to give me questions so that I can find deeper truths.

This came to me today: If Christ is called the 2nd Adam then what are the similarities and/or difference with the 1st Adam?

1. Was Christ a heavenly twin to 1st Adam?
2. Was the 1st Adam meant to be a savior of sorts?
3. 1st Adam was commanded to be fruitful and multiply, he had a wife and children....what about Christ? (this can be spiritual as well)
4. Why two Adams? Why two Adams? Why 2 Adams?
5. Why Eve? Why Mary? What is the significance of the 'woman'.

I know this sounds so basic and simple but I feel there is something in the creation story as well as the twins, and offspring that I am missing. Yes, I have all the cut and dried religious answers...just looking for a fresh word or approach on this.

Thank you in advance,
Bev

Bev,
I will attempt to address these questions. Of course you know my answers are from my heart according t the way I see scriptures and are open to interpretation as well. So I am sure that some here will disagree. That matters not as we all change as God directs not as others give their opinions. Anyway, having said that here we go. Your questions are very good ones.

Was Christ a heavenly twin to Adam? Perhaps, but no more than we are all created in the image of God. It explains in 1 Corinthians 15 that there is a Natural Body, and A Spiritual Body, first the earthly, then the heavenly, etc... Many years ago I was speaking on this subject at West Palm Beach. The Lord had given me a message on the word which says "He taketh away the first, that HE may establish the second." I personally believe all of these aspects are created by God and each has its specific purpose, function, and destiny. When the purpose has been met, the function completed, and the destiny fulfilled, then that will end the cycle of that particular object/person/entity. In my opinion it then goes back into God (so to speak) as how can you go back to something you can never leave?

Was the 1st Adam meant to be a savior of sorts? Well I didn't know sorts needed saving. LOL Enough of that! Once again, in my opinion, I don't think so as I believe Adam was originally created not to need a savior, since he was created In the Image and with The Likeness of God. I dont believe he was to be a savior of anyone, but a keeper of that which had been given him by God. The fall, for lack of a better word, is what placed man in need of a savior. Now I know that God has not had to revert to PLan B cause Plan A failed, but I also believe that choice had a lot to do with the "fall". The choice of the first Adam to desire fellowship with the tangible "EVE" more than the spiritual "GOD". This desire is what placed man in need of a savior. As briefly as I can state here, I believe the fall of man was no more than him losing his first identity which was none less than God. YOu must ask, did God create Adam # 1 in His Image or not? If not then the first part of the Bible needs some revision. I personally believe Adam # 1 was in the image of God as it says. The enemy (Satan, the devil) whatever you believe him/her/it to be caused this creation of God, that was made in Gods Image to question his own identity. How so you ask? The serpent said to Adam, "In the day that you eat this fruit your eyes will be open and you will be as Gods." My problem with that is that the serpent, a manifestation of the devil, satan, etc.... is not now or has he ever been able to speak total truth. Therefore it is telling Adam that he was not like God now but would become like God IF..... To me, for Adam to question his own identity which God had given unto him shows that though Adam was created in God's Image and likeness that He, Adam, had to recognize who and what he was. This is the same identity crisis going on today. The typical church teaches that we are separate from God, when in fact, we are the very family of God, born of His Seed, bone of His bone, Flesh of His Flesh, and One IN SPIRIT.

First Adam commanded to be fruitful etc... The second Adam, CHRIST, is also producing a family. I find it interesting that the typical church teaches that Christ produces a family through them who are believing they are yet to become the bride of Christ. You dont have marital relations with your bride to be (speaking of the perfect world of Spirit anyway) you wait as does Christ to be married to his bride, then she is his wife and relations are lawful and legal and right in Gods sight. So there must be some of us who realize now that we are no longer engaged to the Lord, we are HIS WIFE now. Therefore our offspring are legitimate sons and daughters of God. Speaking IN SPIRIT of course.

The woman, all thru scriptures depicts the church, the bride, the lamb's wife. It is thru this proper relationship of marriage to Christ that His Body, the church, the fullness of him that filleth all in all, etc.... produces seed to fill the earth as the waters cover the seas. This is true sonship. Knowing who you are, how you got to be who you are, whats yours because of who & whose you are, and lastly how to access that which is yours because it is yours now.

Hope this helps some. Lots more on this for sure.
Love IN Christ,
Ken Hill

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

Great point about Adam questioning his identity!!

The past few months, I can't get away from Genesis.
I feel there is something MORE in the Creation story that has not been understood. And a lot of it lies in the
"Identity" of Adam.

Genesis is the one book that seems to skip around and doesn't seem to all gel. God appears to be vague and then harsh. Ex: Cain and ABel. How did anyone know what was the proper offering? It never shows where God explained to them what was proper/better/more excellent offering. Nor does it even show where God said it was necessary and why. I mean really, this is the first account of any kind of offering to God by humanity...seems like that would be real important and God would spell it out and not leave it up to Cain and Abel just to somehow "Know" what would please God.

I'm going to make a statement and many may not agree, but Genesis/creation story to me, (I said in my opinion) feels like it's been tampered with by interpreters/translators of old maybe on purpose to obscure/hide something. And maybe that something is "identity". Our true identity.

Another example: We know that Adam and Eve were NOT the first people. I mean Cain did take a wife from another tribe. So then just who & what exactly were Adam and Eve, Cain, Abel...etc... that set them apart from the others?????

I know these questions sound so basic/simple. But I can't shake this of late.

Thank you again for being patient with me.
In Christ,
Bev
